Videography
Purpose
Filmography helped me spark a light that I didn't know was within me. I started filmography in a robotics team because they needed someone to make an upcoming video for an pretigious award. I thought to myself that I might as well try being in a new school. I never knew that opportunity will pathe my future to fall in love with creativity and design to make ideas into a reality.
2019 Chairman's Award: Winning Video
Believe it or not. This was my first video because prior to this experience I didn't even know how to import videos in Adobe Premiere Pro.
How did I approach this challenge? YouTube and A LOT of research.
I learned from martial arts that I should never back down from a challenge because it is what make us stronger. I researched award winning FIRST Chairman's videos and noticed a pattern in the narration, data, and people in the videos of the winners and incorporated in the final video. After, I started a storyboard keeping in mind the rules of the copyrights and awards regulation and corporated the theme of the robotics competition into the video. I consisently asked for feedback from my mentors of the robotics program to adjust to changes when needed. Once the video was submitted I had to leave it to the hands of the judges for everything the team had the work so hard on to showcase itself.
At the end, the competition, the Chairman's award was announced and it remember the day clearly VorTX 3735. Cheers arose of the stands. We won. The first time in history. I looked up on the big screen and there was the video.

I was also given the opportunity to produce a video for Boy Scouts Troop 440 that was posted to Precinct 4 during Civic Adventure Week to remind others to take care of the outdoors for future generations.
